Harvest and climate

The 2011 started with a rainy and cold winter, followed by a mild but dry spring that ensured good vegetation. This was followed by a very hot and dry summer, which led us to bring the harvest forward slightly. The grapes were harvested manually at the beginning of October.

Fermentation takes place in vats at a temperature of 20° C, controlled by a refrigeration system. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.

Great olfactory impact with a fruitiness of ripe and macerated cherry and blackberry, followed by a sweet and integrated spice of vanilla with balsamic and toasty nuances. The finish presents notes of licorice and coffee. On the palate, great structure and character. The fullness of the wine is evident in the roundness and personality of the tannins, the finish is long with fruity and mineral notes, closing with a pleasant note of licorice and coffee.
